Richmond Amateur Swimming Club holds club practice days once a week during term in the swimming season. The season usually runs in conjunction with the pool operating season, which commences in September and usually winding up in April. The club is affiliated with North Queensland Swimming, Swimming Queensland and Swimming Australia and holds a competitive swimming carnival every year in November. Children from any age can participate in weekly club night program. Members compete at Carnivals around North Queensland throughout the season and are able to benefit from good local coaching, as well as visiting coaching clinics from time to time.
